Customers in the United States should return the garment to VF Playwear, Inc., 310 Rockingham Dr., Reidsville, N.C. 27320 or contact the supplier at (800) 554-7637, or return to the local AAFES exchange for a refund or exchange. Overseas customers should return the garment to AAFES for a refund or exchange.

Recalled model numbers (available through AAFES July 1998 through March 2000):

PowerClean (TM) model number 3540-1 (which is black)
PureAir (TM) model numbers 3540-2 (which is blue)
PureAir (TM) Deluxe model number 3541 (which is purple)
PureAir (TM) Platinum model number 3541-P (which is purple)
The model number is located on a label on the back of the vacuum in the bottom right-hand corner. The label has date codes from 98176000 through 99254999.

Customers should stop using the vacuums immediately and contact BISSELL to arrange for a free repair.
