MILITARY DEPOSIT INTEREST CALCULATOR

MILDEP99

Generally employees must pay a deposit to receive credit for military service under the CSRS or FERS. If the deposit is paid after a grace period, the employee must also pay interest. MILDEP99 is a DOS based interest calculator. It can be used to calculate both CSRS and FERS military deposits. This program was written by Mr. Robert Benson, an employee of the Department of Defense. Previously, this program was available on diskette. OPM has tested the program and it computes interest in conformance with our regulations.
